Weekend Learning

At the weekend we have services and learning for the homeless and vulnerably housed. This might mean a referral to emergency accommodation, a hot meal, a shower, warm clothes, counselling or simply use of our music studio.

Young people using the centre must take part in an accredited award scheme (AQA) on both days, which includes:

  • Numeracy, literacy or PSHE. This might cover algebra, the speeches of famous people, sexual health, careers, healthy relationships or discrimination.
  • ESOL classes.
  • One-to-one support for those with basic or no literacy or numeracy skills.
  • Afternoon workshops with activities such as ice-skating, film editing, cooking, nature reserve and theatre trips.

Social Enterprise Project (SeP)

SeP is an innovative programme of real-world experience and training in running a business via a stall on the local Chalton Street market.

A SeP participant says: "It gave me space and time to think about my future and discover what I’m passionate about."
