Every year, from 1st October through to World Homeless Day on 10th October we partner with the King's Cross Partnership and local businesses for '10 Days to Take on Youth Homelessness', raising awareness of and fundraising for youth homelessness.

With 1 in 10 of those forced to sleep rough in London in 2020-21 being under the age of 25 (CHAIN annual report), there has never been a more important time to support New Horizon in Giving Young Londoner’s Potential A Home.

Let’s Give Potential A Home

This year through #NH10Days we are inviting you to get involved and help raise much needed funds in various ways centered around the number 10.

Supporting young people as a business

As a business, you could:

  • make a grant that will go directly towards helping young people experiencing homelessness to improve their wellbeing, change their economic circumstances and find a safe place to call home.
  • encourage employees to fundraise or donate via a company fundraising page
  • host a virtual or in-person talk about youth homelessness at your workplace with guest speakers from New Horizon, including young people.
  • Throughout the month of October, encourage customers who dine in at your restaurant to consider making a voluntary donation of £1

If you'd like to do any of these or discuss an idea of your own, please contact Fadzai Dzimwasha at Fadzai.dzimwasha@nhyouthcentre or on 07931 666925.

Supporting young people as an individual

Fundraise with your family, friends and colleagues or consider making a donation. Your generous support will enable us to continue helping young Londoners experiencing homelessness.

About New Horizon Youth Centre

‘Youth Centre’ may be in our name, but we are so much more.

Every year, thousands of young people across the capital become homeless through no fault of their own.

That's why New Horizon Youth Centre exists. Based in King’s Cross, we are a vital support network for 16–24-year-olds with nowhere else to go. Through the ‘one stop shop’ services we provide at our day centre, via outreach and remotely, we support thousands of young people experiencing homelessness in London to improve their wellbeing, change their economic circumstances and find somewhere that they can call home.

As long as young people are homeless and at risk in London, we will be on a mission to give their potential a home.
