If you’re adding your voice to the Black Lives Matter movement this weekend, please be aware of Covid-19 restrictions and keep in mind social distancing. Follow these tips to help keep you safe:

  • Research the area so that you know how to leave as quickly and safely as possible if needed
  • Only attend official protests
  • Follow BLM guidelines on social media (Twitter, Instagram and Facebook)
  • Wear trainers or other comfortable shoes
  • Carry water and high protein snacks
  • Carry a list of medications you are on or wear a MedicAlert if you have allergies
  • Bring hand sanitizer
  • Wear a mask and gloves and try to socially distance from people
  • Don’t wear headphones so that you are aware of what is happening around you
  • Make sure your phone is fully charged. Bring a power bank if possible, as if you take lots of pictures or videos, the battery will not last long
