Every year, thousands of young people across the capital become homeless through no fault of their own. That’s why New Horizon Youth Centre exists.
This has been a year of sunflowers and storms: growth, possibility and brightness but also a rise in rough sleeping, fewer housing options and harsh conditions for young people in London.

In 2024-2025, we worked with over 1,400 young people, nearly 900 of whom were new to our services.
Three highlights from our year:
Food
The kitchen and long dinner table at our day centre is the heart of what we do at New Horizon, where we serve homemade, fresh and nutritional lunches for young people and staff to enjoy together every day. Last year, we served nearly 10,000 meals!
Housing
Almost 500 young people had positive outcomes from our Housing Advice service: 190 young people accessed long-term accommodation, ending their homelessness; 366 young people accessed emergency accommodation to keep them off the streets and away from danger; 72 young people stayed in our Youth Hub (the only youth-specific emergency accommodation in London).
Supporting asylum seekers and refugees
43% of the young people we support are young people who have been newly granted refugee status but evicted from the home office accommodation with no where to go. We have continued to offer ESOL classes (English for Speakers of Other Languages), cultural celebrations at the centre and partnership with immigration support services.
