Celebrate culture and heritage with our new Cookbook

Posted on: 9 October 2025

At New Horizon, we are privileged to work with young people from all around the world with many different backgrounds. This World Homeless Day, as part of our Black History Month celebration, we are honouring culture, pride and heritage through food.

Sitting at the dining table with your friends and family is more than just a meal; it’s a way to bond, to share stories, and to build community. At New Horizon, this is no different. Every day, our chef serves nutritious hot lunches, and every month we host Supper Clubs with special themes. We gather around the big table in the centre of our drop-in to connect over a warm meal.

Food is at the heart of what we do, and it’s one of the ways we celebrate culture. In honour of this, we’re proud to share our New Horizon Cookbook, a collection of recipes from staff and the young people we support.

From 10th October to the end of the month, you can receive a free digital copy of our cookbook by subscribing to our newsletter.

Or if you choose to become a regular donor, you’ll be helping to provide young people with hot, nutritious meals each month, and we’ll send you a printed copy of the cookbook as a thank you.
